Objectives

Quafé:

  • Work experience in trades within the hotel and hospitality sector: food, service, housekeeping and caretaking/maintenance

Quafé modules:

  • Training/qualifications in the food or service areas
  • Improved access to the training and employment market in the catering sector
  • Individualised learning in modules, including certificates on successful completion of the programme (IHK - Chamber of Commerce and Industry)

ANKERplus (with funding from the ESF for Baden-Württemberg):

  • Targeted remedial teaching in German and Mathematics
  • Presentation/decoration in a catering context
  • KIF health scheme "Komm in Form" ("Get Into Shape") (diet, exercise, relaxation)
  • Environmental scheme

Target group - identified by one or more characteristics

  • Young adults up to 25/adults over 25
  • An interest in catering
  • Stable good healthLong-term unemployed men and women
  • Men and women with special needs
  • Includes those without school or vocational qualifications

Scheme discription and methods

Quafé modules:

  • Acquisition of practical and theoretical knowledge and skills in catering-related trades, based on IHK training framework plans
  • An assessment of your skills and abilities, and a review of opportunities open to you
  • Joint preparation of a training/qualification plan and individualised planning for your training/career path
  • Preparation of up-to-date application documents and job application training
  • Acquisition of fundamental knowledge, skills and abilities required for working life
  • Personal guidance and support in solving problems which lie in the way of your career development


Quafé:

  • Work experience in the areas of food, service, housekeeping and caretaking/maintenance work
  • Personal guidance and support in solving problems which lie in the way of your career development
  • Support for the transition into training/qualification modules
  • Support in the search for a training place or job

 

Depending on personal interest and/or your skills profile, participation in ANKERplus study units

  • Targeted remedial teaching in German and Mathematics
  • Diet, exercise and relaxation
  • Presentation/decoration in a catering context
  • Environmental scheme

Length of scheme

Quafé module: length: 4 months | contact hours for training/qualification: 30 hours per week | On successful completion of all 3 modules (total length: one year), there is the possibility of 6 months' credit towards a later training programme.

Quafé: Duration: 6 months

Number of places

26 participants in total | 16 participants under 25, 8 participants over 25 | 2 additional jobs for severely disabled people, and 4 training places

Admission to sheme

Quafé modules: Via training voucher as prescribed under § 77 para. 4 SGB (German social security code) III, and for young people up to 25 years of age via the Xenos ESA federal programme. You can find about other possibilities by speaking to our contact staff. Entry is possible several times a year.

Quafé: Via Arbeitsgelegenheiten (AGH) (Work Opportunities - a federal measure for supporting long-term unemployed people into employment)
